This is our favorite restaurant in Paris. The last time we were there for a week and ate there 3 times! The owner and daughter of the original owner waited on us each time. She speaks fluent English and is extremely helpful. The food was excellent and we loved the antique furnishings and tableware. It is truly a special place.

What a shame. I loved this place and visited regularly. Then last night I went for dinner. I ordered escargots and the pot-au-feu. When the waitress was about to walk away, I asked for "une petite salade verte." She added that to my order.
Said salad arrived and was simply some lettuce chopped up in a bowl with some vinaigrette. It was fine. Until the bill came: the price of the salad was 10 euros!
I was flabbergasted. I asked the waitress and she said it was listed in the menu as Salade Verte de la Saison for 10 euros and that she assumed I knew the price. But I had not asked for the Salade Verted de las Saison. I asked for "une petite salada verte" - which should have been a small side salad costing 3 or 4 euros tops.
The escargots cost only 9 euros, by the way.
The waitress agreed the pricing was unfair but blamed the boss. And wouldn't budge on charging less. I felt cheated and will never return.
I should add that I speak French fluently. So my getting screwed was not a language problem. In fact, a couple of the other diners who overheard my conversation with the waitress made sympathetic noises etc.

We also have been every time for the last ten years; our favourite Paris restaurant - first class always and not touristy. Nice welcome but speaking French an advantage.

Go here for dinner every time we are in Paris - on the Left Bank but away from the tourist traps. Excellent food and atmosphere.
