After a week in England and France, the meal I enjoyed here is the best I have had. I wanted to take the opportunity to eat things which I couldn't find at home. I ate escargot for the first time, as well as duck, which I normally do not like. Both were excellent.

This restaurant is the one that you picture when talking about a pure Parisian restaurant. We found out about this place in a very unusual way---from a painting in a gallery in Park City, UT. Everything we anticipated was there--quaint, excuisite decor, great food, nice people--all the things we wanted. We ate there 3 times on our last trip. It is locate a couple of blocks from Sacre Coeur Cathedral on the hill. Visit the artists park between the restaurant and the cathedral. You will not be disappointed!

Everything you look for in a France restaurant. Quaint, out of the way and amazing traditional food. Reasonably priced too which is a nice change in Paris. Well worth a visit.

We have eaten at Le Poulbot twice this year, 2008. Both times we found the food, service and atmosphere outstanding. Please forgive my incorrect spelling of these menu items, but we have ordered their escargots, terrine de campagne, boulliabaise soup, beef bourgingonne, cassoulet, salmon, chocolate mousse, creme brulee, and apple tart with vanilla ice cream. All were of excellent quality, normal portion sizes, and at an incredibly reasonable price. The service is cordial and prompt, and I love the intimate, traditional atmosphere. The only reason I am hesitant to post this outstanding review, is that I'd like to keep this intimate, inexpensive treasure a secret! Mary Ellen, Chelles, France

We stay in Montmartre and had never tried this restaurant before. THe locationn is great and it looks cute however, the food simply was not good. Like poor cafeteria standard food and small portions. Very disappointing.
