Great place.good, honest food, the service is attentive, all that under the watchful eyes of the owner,a nice guy, polite who always welcomes you with a big smile.
He is charming,a good sense of humour, obviously well liked by his customers as well as in the neighbourhood, even the other shop owners praise him (we have just moved around the corner) and really welcoming whether you're a regular or not.You just feel special and that's what you want when you go in a small, local, intimate restaurant, you want care and there you get it !!
The prices are rather low for a London restaurant, despite the Kensington location, the set menus offered at lunch and dinner are cheap and yet unlike some restaurant, their quality and quantity are equal to the dishes "a la carte".But what is EXCEPTIONAL and that always irritates me in most of the restaurant,is that in this restaurant, the side dishes served with the main courses are included in the prices, and that is very, very unusual,no added or hidden cost at the end when the bill arrives !!.One more reason to go there.
I can't fault it , it is a clean, sweet little place,we need restaurants like that in our lives, they just cheer us up in those gloomy times.
My wife and I, have taken the decision to go there twice a month,at least we are sure to have a great time and yet still supporting our local businesses as we all should.!
