Bad food, rude staff old furniture. I think the food was leftovers from before and full of grease. Avoid.
I couldn't disagree more with the above comment. We ate here this week, the food was excellent, clearly freshly cooked and really flavoursome. The staff were charming. We will definitely go there again.

Went to the Ganges in Hollywood last night for the first time and i was very impressed with it. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent.I can honestly say that the food was the best i have ever had in an indian restaurant. I will return and recommend it to to all my friends.

I have been a regular customer at The Ganges restaurants in Newtownards, Bangor and Holywood, County Down for well over 15 years. However, I was extremely shocked to read in the 16th June 2013 issue of The Sunday Life (sister newspaper of The Belfast Telegraph) that the owner, Abdul Kalam, has been imprisoned for 16 months after pleading guilty to 9 counts of indecent assault against a 14 year old waitress who worked at The Ganges. I find the details of Abdul Kalam's offending extremely sickening and distressing and feel that any potential customers have a right to know in order that they can make an informed decision about whether or not they wish to have their food cooked by a child sex offender. I for one will never set foot in any of these restaurants again.
