Russian Tavern

Quite excellent and in this lost little village of Port Bannatyne on the Isle of Bute, just 50 metres from the marina. It reminds me of the old Borsch'n'Tears in London back in the 70s. Great food, no pretensions or table-cloths, loads of friendly banter, and a wide selection of beers from Russia, Poland, Czech Republic and Real Ales too. Forgot to say they've Erdinger Weissbeer on tap both blond and dunkel...very rare in Scotland. 5 Guestrooms too, inexpensive and included in the £64 for a double was two quite amazing Russian breakfasts! This place is something else..you'll see! Don.t bother if you want Coke and chips, this is not for you.

Quirky quintessential quaffery! Real ales and real food. Be prepared to eat a LOT.
No waiters , no fancy frills, just good food from Russia.
