Was there on Friday August 27 2004. This place is absolutely fantastic!! Although, if you're British and don't fancy cold mince, don't go for the steak tartare. I didn't: I had the shark, which was delicious and I've never seen or tasted carrots done the way they were. The meal was an absolute bargain for the quality (about £15 for 3 courses), the decor was unusual but very agreeable on the eye, the wine very nice and the service was top notch - very friendly and helpful (good English, but happy to let you try your French without making you feel stupid). The bird sitting opposite was stunning as well. All in all, an unforgettable evening. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Paris.

This small 'blue' restaurant is located at 25 quai de la Tournelle, almost opposite Notre Dame, near the exclusive Tour d’Argent restaurant in the Latin Quarter. It had only been open 4 months when I ate there in April 2004. The food, wine and service all were of the highest standard at a reasonable price. This is not a ‘stuffy’ French restaurant; the décor was light and modern but still intimate. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and spoke good English. Also the table is yours for the evening - no rushing here. I cannot think of a harder task than opening a restaurant in such illustrious company – I wish the owner the best of luck, he made our evening there both memorable and enjoyable.
