A mixed bag. Well greeted by staff. The menu was fairly inventive, some good ingredient combinations and got the taste buds going. Therefore, a good start. Attentivness of serving staff very poor. They were more intent on discussing last night's TV and having a laugh together in the corridor than attending to guests. The food was ok, but only ok. My ravioli starter had a clash of flavours rather than a complement of flavours but the ravioli itself was absolutely fine. The main course cod was very well cooked, clearly very fresh and nicely presented. The beetroot and goat cheese desert again clashed with the over-strong tanginess of the beetroot over-powering the subtle flavour of the cheese. It's a shame because with just a little better staff attentiveness and a little more subtlety in the dishes, this would have been a great evening experience. As it was on my night, a bit ordinary.
