I visited The Kinnaree for the 3rd time in 6 months on Sat Jan 23 2010. It is not just a place to eat out, it is a culinary experience. Located canalside, the setting and ambiance are superb. Kinnaree offers amazing Thai cuisine at reasonable prices. The staff are excellent, helpful but not over-intrusive. My partner had Por Pia Gai (spring rolls) for starters. They were light, crisp and very tasty with a plum sauce. I chose a special of Scallops Satay which was to die for. Our mains were Ped Makarm (duck with tamarind sauce) with Jasmine Rice and Thai Egg Fried Noodles. A perfect wine was Pinot Grigio which complemented the food to perfection. It HAS to be the best Thai Restaurant in Birmingham (or the west Midlands). Miss it at your peril, it is an exceptional restaurant in every sense.
