L'ESCAPADE

L'Escapade is a short walk from our house and has rapidly become our very favourite restaurant in the Paris area. Gael and Michael run the restaurant very efficiently, doing everything from decorating it, cooking and serving. The food is superb and the restaurant is always full of local French people - a good sign! The evening menu of 25 euros for 3 courses is great value and advice on choice of wine always works for us. Service is excellent and friendly, although some French is useful. For any tourists wishing to visit L'Escapade, it is not central, but take the RER Line A to Chatou-Croissy in the direction of St Germain-en-Laye and you will find that the train takes around 15-20 minutes from La Defense. From the station, the walk is around 15-20 minutes. Be warned - you will need to book at least a week in advance!
